Students Saxion college come up with fresh ideas about industry 4.0

Digitalization and the smart factory concept are not new to Stork.

We were one of the first companies in the industry to offer remote diagnostics, as well as advanced options to integrate the injection moulding machine into a complete automated system with material handling robots, transportation systems and more.

Nevertheless, fresh and innovative ideas are key for an organization that wants to stay ahead. That's why we happily accepted the possibility to have a workgroup of engineering students look at the way we implemented Industry 4.0 into our daily activities.

One of their suggestions was an ingenious link between the erp system of the enduser and the control system of the Stork machine, so the injection moulding machine can always be used with maximum effiency for the customer. We will surely use this and other suggestions to further perfect our services. Many thanks to the students of Saxion for their input!
